But we do try our best at keeping things dust-free and sanitary for your convenience!
If there's anything specific in need or want from a professional cleaner, feel free but mention to them right away to do nothing to the floors.
In some cases, there will be a need for paint touch-ups.
Usually the baseboards and on occasion walls that some of these marks can be removed with 409 multipurpose cleaner!

The furniture must be removed prior to our arrival in areas you wish to install your floor. Sometimes slab preparation is necessary and will smooth out any bumps or dips on the slab or subfloor.
In some cases, there's no need for slab prep. Once the slab has been prepared, we will begin installation and in most cases will produce minimal dust.
You will need at least three days for your flooring installation depending if you have a large or small
space to work with and also how complicated its layout may seem in comparison!
Finishes produce odors that some people are sensitive to. Opening the house three to five hours after coating helps the odor dissipate
as well as dry properly. We are working as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to minimize your inconvenience.
We have taken measures so that you can see what we're doing, but please be aware that there may still be some dust around because of this process!
Your color is chosen with the crew, on-the-job during the sanding process.
We will need to schedule a time to meet them there and let
them know what color and shade you are considering.
This gives an accurate starting point for their efforts in staining your floors, adjusting from here if necessary based on customer feedback after it has been applied .
Once dried overnight you should inspect approved colors before coating which could take several days total depending upon weather conditions.
The first coat of stain is a sealer coat, it must dry overnight. After applying
the wax (the final coat) you can walk on your floors in a few hours.
However, we recommend that you wait at least 24 hours before moving any furniture on it.
Waxing your floors is an investment!
The waxes we carry are specifically designed to keep the finishes looking their best.
You'll want a small buffer for this job, as well, it will help you buff out all of those dirt particles from underneath that protective layer just like how vacuuming removes allergens from your carpet!

It's not just about applying the polyurethane.
The screen and coat process is like painting a house!

All furniture to be placed on your wood floors should have floor protector pads on areas that touch the floor.
Standard procedure on any wood floor finish is to keep the dirt and grit cleaned off. Many find that using a commercial size dust mop makes cleaning faster and easier.
It is very important to keep your floors clean; dirt and grit act as sandpaper with your feet, causing a premature wear pattern.
We will provide you with a hardwood floor maintenance sheet for the type of floor you have, if we do not, please contact the office so that we may get one for you.

There will be noise, dust, and some fumes during the sanding & finishing process. Even though we seal off the work area from other rooms, dust from the sanding could infiltrate other areas of the house.
Because of fumes that will be released during the floor finish application, pilot lights should be turned off.
All Brite Floors offers a dust reduction sanding system which reduces 90% of airborne dust.
Please keep pets away from work areas.
A typical finish job (500 to 700 sq.ft.) takes two days of sanding, with stain applied on the second or third day. Finish is applied on the fourth and fifth days. You may not walk on the floors while the stain and finish are wet.
Allow 24 hours for these finishes to dry and several days before area rugs can be put down. Generally you can walk on he floors within 24 hours and furniture can be moved back between 3-7 days after final inspection. When the work is completed, you may need to repaint your base and shoe moldings. Also, be prepared to remove the fine dust that may have accumulated, despite our best efforts to contain it.
A prefinished floor should be installed near the end of the remodeling project and on site finished floor should be sanded and finished near the end of the remodeling project.
After the job is completed, your estimator or a superintendent will go over the job with you on site. Maintenance procedures will be reviewed and items not to your satisfaction will be corrected.
